Business Sector Board on Frame specialises in manufacturing sandwich construction furniture such as tables, cupboards, shelves, beds and chests of drawers. The construction technique, in which furniture components are partly filled with honeycomb paper, makes it possible to produce low weight yet stable structures in combination with significantly reduced consumption of raw materials. The latter is important to Swedwood in its overall environmental focus and sustainable management of resources. It is also of great value to consumers as the product price is very competitive at the same time as design and functionality is state-of-the-art. A new Product Development Centre, in co-operation with IKEA, underlines the Business Sector’s high ambitions in product and material innovations.
