The EHS team focuses its capability on sustainability issues in all operations of the Swedwood Group. Swedwood’s overall commitment includes the sustainable management of all resources relevant for the business and the EHS team’s responsibility is to ensure that this is managed coherently and consistently. It is our undertaking to all stakeholders to maintain a standard of excellence that ensures continual improvement in EHS and resource performance.

Our EHS policy has been widely disseminated and provides the guiding principles necessary to ensure that high standards are achieved at all our sites. It also affords a means of promoting continuous improvement based on careful risk assessment and comprehensive EHS management systems against which all sites are audited. The group EHS management system is reviewed regularly to ensure that it reflects international best practices and our growing understanding of the practical application of sustainable development.

We aim at being in the forefront and drive these issues at all locations where we operate. We have set stringent standards and to ensure that these are respected we implement self control systems and continually execute audits of our operations. Our target is that Swedwood should, with regard to sustainability, be in the forefront in its business segment and always act in such a way that we are a leading example in developing a sustainable business.
