Swedwood’s Technical Department is a skilful, reputable, innovative, development and improvement focusing support function serving the entire Group with technical expertise and know-how. We are in the forefront of the wood processing and furniture manufacturing industry concerning developing and implementing new materials concepts and production techniques. Much work is aimed at increasing the productivity of our units by developing technical equipment that supports and ensures improved productivity. Our new state-of-the-art concept factories and standards for manufacturing are largely designed in-house. We also work closely with suppliers to further improve technical solutions. The Technical Department has a number of responsibilities – Technical R&D in various areas relevant for Swedwood such as construction, production concepts, quality and much more.
