Manufacturing some 100 million furniture pieces every year our operations are part of the everyday life of numerous people worldwide. Swedwood takes active part and has deployed guidelines and policies in the fields of environment, health, safety, risk management and other welfare issues.
We have a common environment, health and safety (EHS) policy for the entire Swedwood Group. This is the foundation for our EHS management systems, strategies, objectives, audits and activities which ensures that we make the right decisions in all parts of out operations. This is very important in Swedwood and it is our responsibility towards all stakeholders such as our employees, the communities in which we operate our owner and customer including future interests.
We are committed to maintaining a standard of excellence that ensures continual improvement in EHS and security performance. We aim at being in the forefront and drive these issues at all locations where we operate. Swedwood’s focus on growth and globalisation also includes responsible sourcing and this is closely linked to the issue of sustainability. We only work together with suppliers that share our Core Values and work principles, and meet IKEA’s requirements.
